About Us
We desire for you to feel supported. We want you to feel equipped to be the mom God has called you to be.
We are an extension of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church’s Children’s Ministry in Marietta, GA. Our primary aim is to provide mutual support through prayer, fellowship and organized events. Additionally, we offer field trips, high school dances, retreats, and so much more at a minimal cost. The annual membership fee unlocks exclusive benefits such as access to our private Facebook group, participation in field days, access to our member directory, participation in Geography/Science fairs, festive holiday gatherings, and amazing Moms' Nights!
We also host an annual book sale in June that is well-known throughout the community and is one of the biggest homeschool used book sales in Georgia!
Membership is $60 for the year, and you can register at JFBC Homeschool Support in July.
Leadership
Eva Harp - Group Director
Eva is a homeschool mom of five children. She has been homeschooling since 2010. She and her husband, Justin, have been members of Johnson Ferry for over twenty years.
Leslie Martinez -Timothy Director
Leslie is a homeschool mom of four children. She has a homeschool graduate attending Kennesaw State. She and her husband, Carlos moved their family to Georgia from Miami five years ago.
Taylor Fisher - Moms' Nights Out
Taylor is a homeschool mom of 4 kids 9 and under! She enjoys hosting creative moms' nights out in her home, and has a heart for mentoring other homeschool moms via the summer book club.
Denna White - Bible Study
Denna is a homeschool mom of three children. Two have finished and are attend KSU and FL State. She is finishing up her homeschool career with her last child, Ella. Her husband, Chris, is on staff at Johnson Ferry in the global Ministry office.
Stephanie Wilson - Elementary
A busy homeschool mom of three elementary students. Stephanie loves planning fun activities for her crew and invites you to join in.
Connie Johnson - Middle School
Connie is a mom of two amazing middle school boys. She is full of energy and fun! She runs our field day event every year and it only gets better.
Joy Long - Treasurer
Joy can do it all! While home schooling her two middle school boys she is has been constant in the homeschool group. Her quiet, gentle, and amazing servants' heart is a blessing at every event.
Britni O'Neal - Hospitality
To know her is to love her! Britni can make anyone feel right at home. She is mom of two, a boy and a girl. She has been homeschooling since day one with a smile and giggle.
Theresa Skyes - Book Sale
Our book sale professional, she has been participating in the book sale since the very beginning. Her family of seven has been long time participants in all the homeschool group has done.
Maria Nelson - Book Club
Maria loves books almost as much as she loves her family. Originally from Baltimore then Miami she has been an Atlanta resident for 19 years. Homeschooling her 4 kids for the last 10 years.
